The course objectives and competencies have been benchmarked against the guidelines for undergraduate IS/IT curricula set forth by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), the Association for Information Systems (AIS), and the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP). Bachelor of Science in Nursing The BSN program is designed to develop the professional knowledge and skills of working registered nurses. The curriculum is built upon a foundation of biological, physical, and social sciences which contribute to the science of nursing. The liberal arts components promote the development of the intellectual, social, and cultural aspects of the professional nurse. The program enhances the foundation in the biological, physical, and social sciences through an instructional program with behavioral objectives that concentrate distancelearningmba on the development of the nurse''s role as caregiver, teacher, and manager of care.

Utilizing a self-care framework, working registered nurses are prepared as generalists who are able to apply professional skills and knowledge to nursing, clients, and health care systems. The BSN program has a 36 credit nursing core and a 12 credit cognate requirement. Completion of this required course of study fulfills only part of the 126-semester credit minimum requirement for the degree. Master of Arts in Education/Teacher Education for Elementary Licensure The Teacher Education specializations develop Elementary or Secondary teachers who, as an integral part of the school community, facilitate the development of students who are secure and productive citizens in a changing society.

Students can access research material from the University''s Electronic Library. The Online program is designed to benefit working professionals in a number of ways. Classes are offered one at a time, in sequence. There are no semesters, so students can begin a course of study any month of the year. A student can concentrate on one subject at a time, and when a class is completed they can move on to distancelearningmba the next one until all degree requirements are met. Each online class distancelearningmba lasts five or six weeks. A student can sign on any hour of the day or night, taking part at times that best fit his or her schedule. While this flexibility is unprecedented, it requires greater than average discipline and does not allow a student to "coast." Students devote an average of fifteen to twenty hours a week to their studies.
